I don’t think children should be left at home in care of nannies or an au pair, but it is gaining popularities these days that many even take au pairs from other countries to look after their children. Study has somewhat showed it that one out of every three kids put in charge of a nanny have fallen to the bottom of their class. I sometimes wonder why some parents would chose socializing over their own very children. Many homes have fallen apart as a result of this. parental employment is the major cause of child neglecting, for example both parents are working and they have no choice than to hand over the child to another adult which most times is the Nanny. I don’t like to be judgmental and people do have reasons for what they do but when some decisions have so much to do with our children , then I think we ought to think twice and weigh our options and how it affects our future and that of our children. Whatever we do can have an impact.
